What's inside

Small tools, on purpose.

Every feature is here because it makes the practice easier to keep — and absent if it'd get in the way.

i.
Three lines a day
Designed around the smallest sustainable habit. Two minutes, usually less. Skip the headline and write the detail.
ii.
Streaks that don't shame
Your streak counts forward, never punishes. Miss a day and pick up where you left off. The number is encouragement, not pressure.
iii.
Anonymous community
Read what others are noticing. Share if you want — under a randomly generated handle, never linked to your real identity.
iv.
Yours, forever
Encrypted at rest, exportable any day. No ads, no data sales, no surprise paywalls on what you've already written.
How it works

Open the page. Write three lines. Repeat.

No onboarding wizard, no questionnaire. You can write your first entry within ten seconds of arriving.

1

Pick a handle

No email required to start. We generate a soft, random handle — change it if you'd like, or keep the one we offer.

2

Write what you noticed

Three slots, all optional past the first. Be specific: a smell, a sentence, a small thing someone did. Sensory details welcome.

3

Watch it accumulate

Streaks, gentle milestones, an end-of-year ritual to reread everything you wrote. The compounding sneaks up on you.

A small, real community

Quietly used by thousands.

Still writing after 60 days

I've started and quit five journaling apps. This one I just keep opening. The "three lines" thing is genuinely doing it for me — it's small enough that there's no excuse.

The anonymous feed is the most unexpectedly comforting thing on my phone. People are kinder when nobody's keeping score.

I read back my January entries in October. Half of them I'd already forgotten. That's the whole product, honestly.

Frequently asked

Reasonable questions.

Is it really anonymous?
Yes. Your handle is randomly generated, not linked to an email or device fingerprint. Public entries appear under that handle only; we don't keep a back-reference to your real identity.
What happens when I miss a day?
Nothing dramatic. Your streak picks back up where you left off — we don't reset it to zero, and we don't shame you. The point is the long arc, not the chain.
Can I use Gratify offline?
You can write entries offline; they sync when you reconnect. The community feed, search across your full journal, and exports need a connection.
Where is my data stored?
Encrypted at rest on our servers, with daily backups in a separate region. Your private entries are end-to-end encrypted on Premium; on Free, only at rest. Either way, no human ever reads them.
Can I export everything?
At any time, in JSON, PDF, or CSV. You own your words, fully. Premium also includes an annual printed journal mailed to you in December.
How is Gratify different from a notes app?
Notes apps are a blank canvas — Gratify is a small, specific ritual. Three slots, a private/public toggle, a gentle community on the other side of the screen. The constraint is the feature.

The smallest thing you'll do today, compounding.

Take two minutes. Write three lines. See what happens after a week.
